Day 9: Strength & Force Upper XT

Hi Everyone!

Wooooooooo.  I'm whooped.  In a really good way.

Today's workout was awesome.

Check out the headlines. :)

Day 8: Competitive Core

Hi everyone!

Well... it was only a matter of time. After enjoying my Day 7: Day O' Rest, I hit it hard today for Competitive Core.

Two banner events happened today.  Can you guess what they are?

Let's go straight to the headlines. :)

Day 6: Sprawl & Brawl

Hi everyone!

I'm pretty sure a title of Sprawl & Brawl for today's workout is supposed to scare me.

Guess what? Mission accomplished! As I put the dvd in, I realized I had a healthy set of nerves. I started laughing and told myself I'd just do what I could do and survive it.

Should I have been scared?  Ready for the headlines?

Day 5: Legs and Back

Hi everyone!

It's a bit of a miracle that I decided to "come and get it" today. My beautiful Boulder has a wild fire burning out of control and very close to my house. I spent the afternoon preparing to vacate after receiving a pre-evacuation notice from city officials. We've packed all the basics and we're ready to go if the situation requires it. We're in wait and see mode as I type this late Tuesday evening. We're hopeful the amazing firefighters who are working this fire will achieve some containment tonight and tomorrow.

BUT:

Despite the misadventures of this day... I did Legs and Back tonight. Yes. I. Did. It was a great distraction from hour after hour of fire updates on tv and online. I didn't get to it until around 9pm, but I did it. :-) I'm proud of myself for even considering it, let alone doing it.

On to the headlines for today...

Day 4: Yoga XT

Hi everyone!

Today is day 4 and I just completed Yoga XT.

It's a bit of a miracle that I can sit upright and type this update.  I'm pretty sure I'm whimpering a little bit, but I'm too dazed to tell myself to stop. Thankfully, I'm alone and no one can witness what I'm sure is a comical sight.

I thought about taking a shower before I sat down to knock this out, but I was too tired to walk upstairs. Besides, it feels more authentic to write this while I'm all sweaty from a great workout.

Ready for the headlines?

Day 3: Plyo

Hi everyone!

So, let's start with the good news.  I didn't swear or whimper too many times during today's workout.

Oh no, not because it was easier. BECAUSE I COULDN'T BREATHE!!  Yikes!  :-)

Let's get straight to the headlines, shall we?

Day 2: Strength and Force Upper + Abs

Hi everyone!

Day two and I'm still alive. :-) I am, however, feeling this workout big time!

I got off to a strong start yesterday and was sore by days end. Little faster than normal. I knew this program would be tough. It's lived up to my expectation! I can say that after today's dual workouts, I am feeling some muscle agony that I haven't felt before. I dig it, despite being a little wiped out!

Here are the headlines:

Day 1: Cross Core Combat + Day 1 Photos

Hi everyone!

I'll start by saying I'm alive.  It was in question, I'm sure, as to whether I would survive my first TapouT workout. Those of you who lived through P90x with me know though - I don't give up.  It's not because I'm fit or particularly fierce.  I'm just stubborn.  :-D

I got the DVDs yesterday.  So excited.  Immediately had a stress response and ate two doughnuts as you saw in my earlier post.  Oopsie.  Then cracked up and decided I better not wait until Monday to start.  Mike Karpenko, the program founder and fearless leader of TO, aka "KTrain", told me it was ON... and so it is.  My sisters will be starting next week, but I'm getting a little jump start because I'm so excited about the program.  Do I get extra credit for doing this while I have company in town?  Note visitor luggage in the photos.  :)

Here are my initial impressions of TO on Day 1, in no particular order of importance, except for #1.
